Participating in a history trip will obviously bring history to life for all participants.  Going on this trip will provide each person with an experience to literally touch and live history that they would never receive otherwise.

At Apple Student Tours, we also believe that travel programs such as these also provide students with a unique experience to learn about life!  As parents and grandparents ourselves, we’ve witnessed firsthand with our families the importance of teaching our youth that if you want something, you must earn it. 

Your child should demonstrate to you through their grades and behavior that they have earned the right to participate in this trip.  We feel that it is also equally important that students who go, also sacrifice to get it.  This comes through a variety of mediums such as having the money that would normally go towards their holiday or birthday presents go towards the trip.  It also means that they can do so simple jobs around the house (babysitting, mow lawns, etc) to earn some of the money. 

And it can come through fund raising (see our fund raising section for great ideas on this).  Lastly, it’s a great opportunity for your child to learn how to manage some money.  Everything on the tour is paid for except for souvenirs.  So, have them go with some money (maybe $100) and let them learn how to budget so that they hopefully still have some money left on the last day of their trip.  It’s an invaluable life lesson!
